History of the ELMBF

Some ELMBF Charitable Activities over the Years
In 1994 the Mark Benevolent Fund announced that the sum of £ 1,500,000 be donated to the National Hospice movement, each Lodge in the Province was to receive £ 1,000 to be donated to a local Hospice of their choice. The ELMBF decided to equal this amount making £128,000 available to the Hospices in East Lancashire.

In 2000 the Mark Benevolent Fund announced that the sum of £ 2,000,000 would be donated to the St. Johns Ambulance, this donation enabled the purchase of 52 Ambulances which were marked with the Provincial Mark crest of the Province in which they were located.
The Mark Province of East Lancashire also donated an additional £10,000 to the two ambulances provided in the Province for the purchase of defibrillators.
 
In 2004 the Mark Benevolent Fund announced that the sum of £ 2,000,000 would be donated towards the relief of Prostate Cancer. The Mark Province of East Lancashire (ELMBF) announced a commitment of £ 100,000 to the Macmillan Nurses and Christies Hospital for Prostate Cancer over the five years.
